On 8 and 9 May 2026, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Grand Master of the Order, presided over the investitures in Hengelo, in the Netherlands. Seventeen new members — including six Dames — were welcomed in the Saint Lambert Basilica.

Each year, the Lieutenancy for Luxembourg co-finances a specific project, selected from among those submitted by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem to the Grand Magisterium.
At its 2026 General Assembly, the Lieutenancy for Luxembourg has decided to support two current projects in the Holy Land.
Taybeh, north-east of Ramallah, is the last entirely Christian village in the Holy Land. Founded in 2005, the retirement home welcomes elderly people who are often isolated and vulnerable. Three rooms currently have bathrooms that have become unusable, forcing residents to share facilities.
The project covers the complete demolition and reconstruction of the sanitary facilities, the replacement of water and drainage networks, the installation of new electrical and sanitary equipment, and finishing and compliance works — to restore dignified and safe living conditions.
In Beit Jala, near Bethlehem, the Sisters of the Rosary — present since 1856 — play a vital role in local education and social life. The recent extension of their residence now requires a suitable heating installation.
The project includes a high-efficiency condensing boiler, a complete heat production and distribution system, radiators and thermal equipment, plus a regulation system and the associated electrical installations — to ensure adequate living conditions and lasting support for the Sisters' mission.
Founded in 1953, the Caritas Baby Hospital cares each year for 47,000 young patients suffering from hereditary, neurological or metabolic conditions. The co-financed unit will allow rapid bedside diagnostics and support the development of paediatric surgery and neonatal intensive care.
A project carried out in fraternity with the Lieutenancy for Ireland, united by the figure of Saint Willibrord, secondary patron of Luxembourg.
Since 15 September 2025, the Sainte-Irmine Foundation has been collecting donations for the humanitarian works of the EOHSJ — Lieutenancy for Luxembourg, and guarantees their tax deductibility.
Donations are transferred, via the Grand Magisterium in Rome, to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, which allocates them to parishes, schools and Christian families — and they directly support the projects we are carrying this year.

In this book, Cardinal Filoni offers a meditation on the distinctive spirituality of the Knights and Dames of the Holy Sepulchre. Starting from the Gospel scene of the perfume poured on the feet of Christ (Jn 12:3), he invites each member to examine their life project, convictions and choices in the light of the call to holiness.

Taking up the words of Pope Francis at the 2018 Consulta, the Grand Master recalls that the success of the works in the Holy Land depends first on the religious formation of every Knight and every Dame: prayer, meditation on Scripture and a deeper grasp of the Church's doctrine. A reference text for the spiritual formation of the members of the Order.
"Laudate Jerusalem" — "Praise Jerusalem!" — is a work at the crossroads of the history of the Christian Churches, diplomacy and international law. A collective effort gathering the transcripts of seven conferences on the Christian presence in the Holy Land, organised by the Conférence Saint-Yves from 2016 to 2021 with the support of diplomatic, ecclesial and associative bodies.
The reader discovers the meaning of Jerusalem in the Jewish tradition — far richer than "city of peace" — then journeys through the centuries with Orthodox, Protestant, Catholic and Coptic Christians. The book closes with a reflection on the status of Jerusalem in international law and an interview with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on the Holy Land.
